Why you should make a manga!

Getting straight to the point.

Making a manga is a great way to connect with other aspiring creators, just as eager to grow their skills and also build a supporting audience.

When you make a manga, not only do you tell a story that can reach millions, but also give out a message. Your story is your message. Just like a novel, a manga is no different. It gives you the ability to express your character's personality with the depth of visual perception, rather than words.

One of the main reasons why you should create a manga is because you actually CREATE. It can be anything, a novel, an illustration, characters, a whole new world. But here's the fun part, a manga is all of those things. It is a novel in the form of illustrations, filled with characters inside a new world you can literally see.

Another reason can be the fact that you improve so quickly. Mangas are complex and include a lot of elements. From writing, to drawing, to panelling etc.. You can hone your skills in so many different ways. Your storytelling gets better with more and more manga you create. If you struggle with backgrounds and anatomy, creating a manga makes it necessary for you to find clever ways to improve in that, and redrawing them multiple times gives you a better sense of perspective and form.

As for this one, I am not the one to say, however, it is not impossible to achieve. You can make a profit out of creating a manga. Once you build a trusted audience, not only can you sell your book but also merch, character art, get tips, etc. But it is worth saying, don't let this be your main motive for this, since making a profit is difficult, and it is rather simpler to find a regular job.

Just do it for the joy of creating and getting your story out there.
